In Banda district, a young man who was hiring wages for planting paddy was shot dead. Based on the complaint by his brother, a murder report has been filed against three people, including father and son. Police have detained one accused. The accused father and son are absconding. Pramod Kumar (30), a resident of Adharori village in Bisanda police station area, had gone to the village at around 9.30 pm on Friday night to look for labourers for transplanting paddy.
Ramphal Kotary’s grocery shop at the village square was negotiating wages with Kamta Prasad Kori and Omprakash Kori of the village for threshing paddy. Just then Atul Raidas, his father Omkar Raidas and Shivlal Raidas from the village came and asked Pramod not to argue with each other. At this Pramod told Atul that he was negotiating the wages. This led to an argument. Atul took out his pistol and fired at Pramod. The bullet hit his left chest. He fell down bleeding. When the villagers saw this, they informed his family. The family took him to Atarra CHC at night itself. Here the doctor declared him dead late at night.
